About the Stories
The Kicchomu tales are classic 頓智話（とんちばなし）—quick-wit stories where a clever underdog flips the script on smug rivals. In one tale, a well-meant plan during a village crisis goes comically sideways; in another, a “mystical” horse leaves the wealthy headman speechless.
