Text Tutorials - on how to look up kanji and jumping with more than one kanji
Canon V90
Uses a stylus for ease of use AND you can draw unknown kanji (both Japanese Kanji and Chinese kanji!). The stylus also makes it easy to jump by dragging the pen over items. Also displays animated stroke order for most kanji.
Very similar to the Canon G90, but the V90 adds voice for Chinese and English words.
Differences between the G90 model:
1) G90 has an Unabridged Chinese-Japanese dictionary with 150,000 words. The V90 has the normal 87,000 word dictionary
2) The V90 adds voice pronunciation for Chinese and English (not Japanese).
If you are studying Chinese and pronunciation is your main trouble, the V90 would be better. But if you need a larger Chinese dictionary, the G90 would be better. If you are not studying Chinese right now but are interested in the stylus drawing the kanji on the screen feature the V80 or G90 would be recommended.
Flash (SWF) Videos (done on a V80, but should be the same with the V90) - Please give it a few seconds to load

View Video describing how to set it up to draw kanji (again, after doing this once, you won't have to do it again) [opens new window]
How to Lookup Kanji - Video describing how to look up kanji using most dictionaries (uses a G55 for the example) [opens new window] (the V90 is easier since you can use the stylus to highlight and then jump)

Comment from a customer about using the stylus:
It's great. I found it easy to use. Especially because there are so many input methods.
I tried the kanji input via the stylus. It works good. I really didn't expect it to work too well, because I have a Palm Pilot, and I often have problems with it's handwriting recognition. I think the wordtank's may be better. Actually it took me a while to figure out how to get the kanji handwriting recognition to work, until I eventually found a little box in the lower right hand corner of the screen, when writing characters, that allows you to select between roman character recognition and kanji character recognition. Then it worked great. I don't know if that's mentioned anywhere in the manual. I didn't find it there.
