I was fortunate to borrow this collection over the recent holiday break. I have studied Japanese for about 2 years with a class and then with a mentor. I am capable in Kana and just pursuing kanji. I am not extremely proficient in the language. But, I found this series to be delightful. The stories are interesting, the vocabulary is carefully selected, and the grading of the level of the readers is well done. I enjoyed the series enough that I consider reading them to be a recreational activity. I highly recommend this series.
